These are learning diagnostics with immediate feedback, rather than official examination papers. For younger learners, an adult should read questions without providing hints. Questions cover selected full-year concepts, so some may not yet have been taught.

CAPS and IEB contexts use the same original concept bank. IEB NSC examinations draw on CAPS; these diagnostics are not official IEB papers or a separately validated IEB assessment.

How closely would you like to look?
What is assessed—and how are results used?

Mathematics is available for Grades 1–12. The science track covers life-and-living / biology concepts in Natural Sciences and Technology (Grades 4–6), Natural Sciences (Grades 7–9), and Life Sciences (Grades 10–12). It does not assess the whole Natural Sciences curriculum, languages, or Mathematical Literacy.

Questions are selected across topics and ordered using author-assigned difficulty bands: foundations, developing understanding, and application. These bands have not been calibrated with learner performance. Longer forms can include numerical variants of a concept. The forms overlap, so retaking or doing a second length is practice rather than an independent measurement.

Each assessed first attempt earns one mark when correct. “I’m not sure” counts as incorrect; “Not yet taught” is recorded separately and excluded from the percentage. Immediate explanations can influence later answers, so the score is a formative snapshot, not a standardised estimate of ability or proof of mastery.

Package suggestions use simple provisional rules: below 50% → discuss Gold; 50–74% → discuss Silver; 75–89% → discuss Bronze; 90% or above → no paid package recommended from this screen alone. At least five scored answers are needed. Confirm the learner’s needs, grade availability, and plan details with the team.

No learner name is requested. A temporary assessment copy is kept in this tab’s session storage to support refresh and pause/resume. It is not synced to a customer account or sent to StudyMate. Export or email the report if you want the team to see it.

These original questions need teacher review before being used as formal placement tests. Use a consultation, schoolwork and written reasoning to confirm gaps.
